Best know for his role as Roger “Raj” Thomas on the iconic 70’s hit ABC sitcom WHAT’S HAPPENING!! and its syndicated 80’s spinoff WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW!! Among his numerous, Film, TV & Theatre credits; Ernest portrayed Kailuba in the iconic miniseries Roots alongside LeVar Burton, Spike Lee’s Blockbuster MALCOM X alongside Denzel Washington and his recurring role as Mr. Omar on the hit FOX sitcom Everybody Hates Chris!

Best know for his role as Dwayne Nelson on the iconic 70’s hit ABC sitcom WHAT’S HAPPENING!! and its syndicated 80’s spinoff WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW!! Among his numerous, Film, TV Theatre credits; Haywood appeared on Sanford and Son and it’s spinoff Grady as Grady’s grandson Haywood Marshall, the Broadway production Thieves and Kowalski is the 1981 horror thriller Evilspeak alongside Clint Howard; Other credits include TV’s Kojak and The White Shadow as well as a cameo in the 2003 movie Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star alongside David Spade his WHAT’S HAPPENING co-stars Ernest Thomas & Fred “Rerun” Berry!
