Born in Philadelphia, PA; Joe broke into comics in the early 1980’s, first at DC Comics as an inker on Superman, Justice League & Action Comics to name a few! He later worked for Hasbro on the G.I. Joe toy line as well as comic book adaptations of the M.A.S.K, Visionaries, Sectaurs & Inhumanoids toy lines! Later at Marvel Comics, Joe continued with the G.I. Joe series; This included the 4 issue miniseries, G.I. Joe: Order of Battle, which presented character profiles for every G.I. Joe Hero, Cobra Villain and their respective Vehicles to date; He continued to work for Marvel on other titles such as Avengers, Justice and Cloak & Dagger! Warrior fans unite! NJ Collectorfest is SUPER EXCITED to welcome, the ONE & ONLY Apache Ramos as he joins he fellow Warriors co-stars Nov 15th! Apache’s featured in the 1979 cult classic, The Warriors directed by Walter Hill, as an original member of “The Orphans.”
Since then, he has appeared in a 2012 fan-made spin-off of The Warriors called Lost In Coney Island as well as the 2013 horror movie Vamp Biker, alongside fellow “Warriors” Dorsey Wright & Brian Tyler as well as its 2015 sequel, Vamp Biker Dos; Be a “Warrior” and “COME OUT TO PLAAAAY” with Apache Ramos!
BOB SHAREN
We are super pleased to welcome the AMAZING & PROLIFIC colorist Bob Sharen to New Jersey Collector Fest, Nov 15th! From 1978-2001, Bob was a colorist for #Marvel Comics. During that time he worked on almost every Marvel title at one time or another, mostly on long runs of GI Joe, Alien Legion, and the various Spider-Man titles. His credits include nearly 1,800 issues in those years. A longer time and more credits than ANY other artist, including over 160 issues of #The Amazing Spider-Man, 99 issues of #Alpha Flight, Iron Man from 1979-1989, #Captain America from 1982-1989 and over 60 issues of #GIJoe from 1982-1994.(Personal favorites: Mike Zeck’s MOKF and the Paul Smith run on Dr. Strange). Since his departure from #Marvel he now works full-time on color commissions and stained glass work; Stop on by and meet BOB SHAREN!
